Hatley Castle Weddings

Hatley Castle is the perfect setting for weddings up to 100 people. Set amidst beautiful Japanese, Rose and Italian gardens - your wedding photographer can capture your entire event in one location - this 1908 Edwardian castle overlooks the Juan de Fuca Strait and distant glacier-capped Olympic Mountains.

With the exception of the wedding cake, catering at Hatley is exclusively provided by Truffles, offerring you a range of popular wedding menus.  Or, you may prefer to customize your menu to suit your specific taste.

Our waterfront honeymoon suite at Birds of a Feather B&B is the preferred choice of some 40+ honeymooners each year. Say, "I do" and capture breathtaking photographs at Hatley Castle and Gardens, and then celebrate your marriage at Birds of a Feather B&B. Your wedding will be like out of a story book.

• Exclusive use of Hatley Castle 1st floor,Terrace, Terrace Lawn, Croquet Lawn and Italian Garden from 4pm – 12am, Saturdays and Sundays for wedding ceremony and reception
• Pre site inspection and meeting with event coordinator
• List of preferred suppliers such as florists, décor companies, musicians and entertainers
• Coordination of catering logistics with our exclusive food and beverage provider, Truffles Catering
• Set up and tear down of bridal party and guest tables and chairs
• Set up and tear down of up to 150 folding outdoor chairs
• Coordination of rental of tents, additional outdoor tables, chairs and décor – rental fees not included
• Outdoor public address (PA) sound system and microphone
• Gift reception table covered with linen cloth
• Registry table and chair
• Access to Italian Garden, Japanese Garden and Neptune Stairs for wedding photos from 4pm - midnight
• Dressing room for bridal party complete with full length mirror and water service
• Free parking for bridal party and guests
• ‘Day of’ coordinator to assist with the ceremony and reception logistics from 3:30pm – 12:30am

Option 2 - Quarterdeck Wedding Reception Package

Have your wedding inside the elegant and spacious Quarterdeck, with up to 250 guests.

Exclusive use of the Quarterdeck Room from 4pm – 12am, Saturdays and Sundays for wedding receptions. 

• Pre site inspection with event coordinator
• Public address sound system and microphone
• Set up and tear down of banquet tables and chairs for up to 250 guests
• List of preferred suppliers such as florists, photographers, décor companies, musicians and entertainers 
• Coordination of catering logistics with our exclusive food and beverage provider, Truffles Catering
• Gift reception table covered with linen cloth
• Access to Japanese Garden, Neptune Staircase for photos from 4pm – 12 am 
• “Day of ” coordinator to assist with reception logistics 30 minutes prior to booking time until 30 minutes after last guest departs.
• Free parking for bridal party and guests

The Quarterdeck room located in the Grant Building is one of Victoria’s largest reception venues providing banquet space for up to 250 guests. Filled with natural light and warm wood, the Quarterdeck is both spacious and inviting for larger groups. Built in 1943, this gracious heritage room originally served as the main assembly hall for church services and special events for Royal Roads Military College. Views overlooking Hatley Castle and the Straits of Juan de Fuca from the Quarterdeck are breathtaking.
