Blue Grouse Estate Winery
Blue Grouse Estate Winery is one of the oldest Estate Wineries in all of British Columbia, Blue Grouse is truly a magical place! Nestled on a 65 arce piece of unspoiled Cowichan Valley countryside, this winery and vineyard produces some of the most awarded wines on the entire island! From Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Ortega, Bacchus and the very rare Black Muscat, Blue Grouse produces new classic wines from old island vines.
The environmental conditions, especially soil and climate, an all-southern exposure, and wind protection in which their grapes are grown give Blue Grouse's wines its unique flavor and aroma. It is because of the unique terrain, that the vines require little irrigation and fertilization. With an expansive vineyard stretching over 65 acres, this winery offers visitors and locals alike a unique and delicious venue from which they can sample a delightful selection of delectable wines.
Blue Grouse is typically the last stop of many on our bespoke day trip Cowichan Valley Wine Tours..
