By bicycle from Port Angeles

BOOK DIRECT - Best Price

We arrived by ferry from Port Angeles. Navigated the downtown on our bicycles - finally intersecting the Galloping Goose half way here.

Cyclists - if you cut across at Adaye (there is a short field) this turns in to Metchosin - and it is an easy downhill. To go back up - it is far more enjoyable to take Heatherbell up to Lagoon - drop down - cycle across the spit - then just across Old Island Highway is the Galloping Goose.

Day 1 - in to Victoria at Switch Bridge where Lochside and Galloping Goose intersect - back out again, and followed Lochside (some on road, some on trail - but signed) all the way to Sidney - Back to Victoria for supper - then here.

Day 2 - Took Galloping Goose to Sooke Potholes - with a side trip in to Sooke. Great vistas, great trails, lots of wildlife: bald eagle, four deer, wild rabbits, red headed woodpecker - otter or seal out in the lagoon.

Excellent breakfasts to fuel the rides. So much more to see. We'll have to come back.
