We were attending, as a family, the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the building of Hatley Park by my great grandfather, James Dunsmuir. Birds of a Feather was an ideal stopping point looming across the water as it does, to Hatley. The facilities were excellent. The children much appreciated the garden and especially the canoe which the adults also enjoyed. The resident geese and swans, as well as the occasional otter added to the attraction. The sun setting and the moon rising over the most beautiful scenery were enjoyed by all of us. Many thanks to Dieter and Annette and especially for the lovely Royal Roads book.
