"This B&B was a surprise from our four children as a Christmas gift. What a wonderful surprise to us. We had a wonderful time. The rooms are lovely, the people here are helpful and friendly. We would love to come back here and do some more sight seeing. Thank you for making our 34th year of marriage a memorable one. "

"We have just had three nights B&B at Birds of a Feather and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The furnishing and views are out of this world as is the wildlife. We have seen an Owl on the telegraph wires just outside, Kingfisher on a post, in the garden a Woodpecker, and last but not least four Otters swimming around the jetty at about 7:15 pm last night. All this as well as the Geese, Swans etc. We found Breakfast with Dieter and Annette very informative and picked up some good tips. "

"Just as good as the website! No!- Better. Lots of rain and low cloud but this did not stop us from going to the Fort and Light house. Used canoe, cycled in the forest, and explored this temperate rainforest on the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail- fantastic. Our accommodations and views were very special. Sea Otters and Birds put on a display for us. Many thanks. "

"Wow! Wow! Wow! As I sit here on the eve of our departure I am sad at how fast our time here flew by! We had an absolutely fantastic time. These are the most divine accommodations we have ever stayed in. Truly heaven on earth. Thank you Dieter and Annette for the delicious breakfasts, the advice and directions. And for letting us play with Emily and Montgomery. They are adorable. I loved rubbing their cute white bellies! Canoeing in the lagoon was breath taking. We felt like kids again with every new creature we spotted - We were practically squealing with delight - "oh look a crab! Wow! look at the Blue Heron! Look at the pretty Seashells!" This place is magical. And besides all of this we have made a wonderful friendships with the guests that were here from England. We ended up spending a lot of time with them and had a blast together. We are now traveling with them to Jasper tomorrow as we start heading back home and the continue with their vacation. The memories of this wonderful place will live in our hearts forever and bring smiles to our faces every time we think of them! Hope to come back again (soon)! "

"Dieter and Annette many thanks it's been great, so much to do, so little time. Easily the best B&B we have stayed at - wonderful ocean, super views, and the weather, three cloudless days (this would be a record in the UK). Highlights: three Humpback whales plus at least 15 Orcas! Seals, Sea Lions, Peregrine Falcon stooping over the Lagoon, Kingfishers, Ospreys, Fisgard Lighthouse, Hatley Gardens, deer feeding on the Blackberries - too many highlights to mention. Fantastic start to our first trip to Canada. As Arnie said, "We will be back!" "

The best thing of all was having 4 new friends - the guests in rooms 1 and 2 are from Edmonton. They're coming to join us for the next 2 days as we head to Jasper. "We rode the bikes through the University and the Galloping Goose. We headed towards Sooke for 10 kms. It was a beautiful day and a great bike ride. We picked ripe Blackberries along the way and brought some back to top off some ice cream after dinner. This is the end of our two week adventure that started with a cruise from Vancouver to Alaska. It has been a terrific adventure but we clearly saved the best for last! The Birds of a Feather was the icing on the cake. It was a short stay and clearly we need to come back! "
