We saw many beautiful things while here on our Vancouver Island adventure - whales, seals, "gooey ducks" which are clams that squirt water at you in self-defense!! Being 6 and 9 - this was a thrill. "We came out to Victoria for my husband's graduation ceremony at Royal Roads University on June 8-11, 2006. We booked all 3 rooms, one for us and for each of our folks. Your home is absolutely stunning, the renovations are fabulous and the rooms are outstanding.The view was picturesque. We stayed in the "honeymoon" suite and it was pure heaven! We had such a busy weekend, it was so peaceful to come back to your place in the afternoon to relax and sit by the water. It made the weekend very relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for such a great stay. The food was super and the company even better. It was so interesting to learn some history of the area and your community. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit with us and make us feel like family, not guests. We also enjoyed visiting with Emily and Montgomery, they were just way too cute. We hope to make it back out to stay with you again sometime in the future, and will highly recommend your B&B to all our friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. "

"What a wonderful place to spend our first year anniversary. The room and view are absolutely breathtaking. Our favourite things to do were taking rain showers in that fabulous claw foot shower tub, having bubble baths and kayaking around the lagoon. We had a splendidly fun and relaxing trip. Thank you! "

"1st impression: Quietly elegant in a Swedish - Japanese way. Both Ingmar Bergman & Kirasawa would have felt at home, by the fire, wind and dusk. I think, what will the "hour of the wolf" bring? Dazzling sun or somber clouds? Part 2: Breakfast culture's accents and amazing expressions barely faded before lagoon culture of feathered friends' own accounts mixes with the breeze over the canoe, vast seascapes leading to Olympic snows and exotic gardens that prompt the tongue to say stupid things like: supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. "Dieter made our stay here on the island even better than it has been. Connection with locals just adds that touch of home while on holiday.
