"This is the first vacation of my adult life anf the first time I`ve been to the island since I was 5 or 6. It was great to be this close to downtown, but I think that this place alone would have made for a great vacation. Between the hot tub, the totally adorable Basset Hounds and the private dock I think I had more fun and felt more relaxed out here. "

"It has been a true pleasure to be the first guests in the newly expanded quarters of Birds of a Feather. Relaxing does not come easily to us, both with demanding jobs, but in a matter of 24 hours we have evolved in to a couple of lethargic slugs. The view, the ambience, the hospitality have melded to make our stay most memorable. "

"We cannot believe that people have stayed here who went out in the canoe at 3:00 a.m.! A great tribute to Annette & Dieter's easy hospitality. We cancelled our cruise after our first night in the "nest". The next seven days were filled with wonderful Vancouver Island day trips that were absolutely breathtaking. If you are only here for three days then you need to come back right away for another week. Every day has been a new adventure and it was because we listened to Dieter & wrote it down.
