Metchosin International Summer School of The Arts- MISSA
MISSA is located at Pearson College at 650 Pearson College Drive in Metchosin which is just minutes away from Birds of a Feather Victoria Bed & Breakfast. Several students have recently found us here at the B&B for accommodations while enrolled in MISSA courses! We are 15 minutes down the coast from Pearson College neighboring Hatley Castle in Colwood.
The B&B is ideal for students & family or friends visiting students or faculty. Additionally, stays of 1 week or more can be arranged in our Vacation Rental offerings.
MISSA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing individualized courses for adult professional artists, adult students and teachers.
Since 1984 artists have come together each summer at the Pearson College campus to share in spirited creative exchange. The school is located on the sheltered shores of Pedder Bay and looks out to the Straits of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. The campus setting provides a stimulating natural environment for artistic development and exploration.
Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific is located just outside Victoria, British Columbia. It's campus is located in Metchosin on the golden west coast surrounded by the B.C. forest with an ample amount of outdoor activities. Some would include canoeing, kayaking, scuba-diving, hiking, all of which are available right on campus for student use! The campus facilities also include a complete library, computer labs, a lecture theatre, an indoor swimming pool, an observatory & much more. Pearson is home to 200 outstanding students from allover the world each year. These students and many of the staff of Pearson reside on campus in dorm houses. Students share a comfortable room with 3 others and each house has complete washroom, shower and laundry, facilities, a mini kitchen, and a common room. Other students who do not wish to share a room tend to search locally for bed and breakfasts to stay in the area! Our B&B here provides peace and serenity as you are situated on the beautiful lagoon. Many students reach out to us for accommodations every summer.
