Course Architect: Nicklaus Design

Designed to offer a complementary golf experience to the Mountain Course, the Valley Course adds to the challenge of playing at one of Western Canada's top golf destnations and makes Bear Mountain Resort, the first and only resort in Canada to offer 36 holes of Nicklaus Design golf.

Like the Mountain Course, the Valley Course strikes the perfect balance of playabiility and is a truly challenging year round golf experience for every level of player. The 18 hole, par 71 course measures approximately 6,807yards from the championship tees. Factor in the elevated tee boxes, more generaous fairway widths, fewer bunkers, and larger greens, and the Valley Course will likley be considered 'friendlier' than the Mountain Course. Rolling through terrain at elevations of between 300 and 500 feet above sea level, there is still plenty of challenge and many holes that could be considered signatures.

Now when you golf Bear Mountain, you have two magnificient courses to choose from plus access to the world-class amenities of the Bear Mountain Golf and Country Club, and choice of the Resort's four acclaimed restaurants: West Coast dining at the Copper Rocke Grill, fine dining at Panache, pub-style fare at Jack's Place and the delectable menu at Kuma Sush. And all of this is only minutes from downtown Victoria.

Already one of Canada's most renowned golf experiences, the addition of the new Valley Course at Bear Mountain sets a whole new standard for golf destinations.
