" Lovely room, lovely hosts, lovely weather. We especially enjoyed riding the bikes up to Hatley Gardens. It has been wonderful to visit Victoria and to come back here to the peaceful & beautiful surroundings. Seeing the mountains across the water makes for a perfect vista. Maybe next time we will venture out in the kayaks. We would most definitely come back to Birds of a Feather if ever we return to Vancouver Island. "

" Dear Ashley & Dieter, You are a delightful couple and we enjoyed your company very much. We loved Mac & Taco and they also made us feel welcome. Our honeymoon was fabulous in your comfortable room. We enjoyed the view, birds, location, bed, tub & the hospitality. This is a wonderful place and we wil probably be back next July.1st barring a financial disaster, so keep our room open! Just kidding - We will call and give you our deposit when we get closer to next July. " The adventures of Guy & Victoria Kenison continue. After being out of the room for less than 20 minutes we decided to go canoeing on the lagoon. We got the boat in the water and ourselves in the boat, though a bit unsteadily. I was just remarking, after paddling away from the dock, that we should go get some life jackets, when Victoria paddled on the same side I wa son and we started to tip. I said, "Of no, don't do that" and attempted to counter- balance to no avail. We were in the water with a tipped canoe, her nail broken, andmy sunglasses sinking to the bottom. Two of the girls (other guests) started in kayaksfrom the shore to rescue us and Victoria and I were hanging onto the floating, upside down boat laughing till they reached us. We flipped the canoe with their help and towed/swan into shore. Of course, Dieter was so kindly taking photos of our bungling moment. Thanks for the adventure! "

" We took a side trip from Seattle up to Victoria for a little getaway. Ashley, Dieter, Mac & taco were very welcoming! We leisurely walked around town and spent some time at the end of the dock watching the wildlife. The breakfasts were grand, the company as well. We had a great time ziplining too. It's a beautiful Island with many sights to see. "

" We extended our vacation to Seattle with a few nights in Victoria and are so glad we did! We spent most of our time exploring downtown, but hope to come back at some point to take advantage of the biking, boating, and hiking that are available. The breakfasts were wonderful and the rooms so incrediably relaxing. It was great to be able to talk with the other guests & Dieter about things to do and places to see. We hope to visit again! "

" I chose Birds of a Feather mostly on its location as I was booked to take an art class (Fri - Sun) at Coast Collective, blocks away. What I found here was comfort, quiet and nature. The beds are wonderful; Egyptian cotton sheets smooth and cool; no thumping of bass from passing cars, only conversations between Canadian Geese, Doves, Swans, bleeting Sheep, roosters & hens, and the mew of "Mac" (Kittie), and an occasional woof from Miss Taco (poochito). Dieter and Ashley are wonderful hosts and great breakfast chefs! Thank you! "

" Only had a one night stay (wished it were longer). Beautiful suite - great shower/tub and a very comfy bed! Breakfast was awesome & everyone was so friendly. "

" We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. The room was amazing! We enjoyed watching the Canucks play at the Cross Roads - very good recommendation. We loved Taco and Mac. If we could we would take them home. They always started our day off the right way. The other thing that started our day off the right way - breakfast! Breakfast was wonderful!! Ashley and Dieter sure know how to Cook!! We had wonderful conversation with Ashley after breakfast - we will truly miss those. Hopefully we will be back soon to continue them! We love Esquimalt Lagoon and we will miss the birds and the view. We will come back! "

" This was our first time staying in a B&B. You made the whole experience wonderful and set a very high standard for any other B&B that we might stay at. Nathan and I both enjoyed our time on the Island and getting to know you. Breakfast was amazing everyday and the view from our room was fabulous. " Our home is Woodland Hills, California and this has been a wonderful getaway with a peacful, welcoming and friendly stay @ "Birds of a Feather". We have loved the calm walks in the forest, float plane ride, the city, excellent dinners @ Mitchollen (*My-Chosen) (butchered the spelling I'm sure) and breakfast at the house. The canoe and Taco and Mac along with the friendly, informative conversation with Dieter and Heather (Ah!) Ashley [( Who is Heather?!) - troublemaker!] were the special touch to our stay. Looking forward to coming back. "

" My wife amd I spent two relaxing days at the Birds of a Feather. Coming from Texas, we had to rely on the website to determine where to stay. This room was nicer than we could have imagined. The ability to use the bikes on a whim was a plus. Of course Dieter and Ashley were excellent hosts and more than willing to accomodate. Taco was a blast and the location beautiful. We are so glad to have found this place. Can't wait to come back! Warm Regards "
