" What a beautiful house! The lagoon made me wish I had a sailboat: preferably Alison’s as my husband’s “Tuktu” was beyond my capability to handle. Siobhan has driven me up to Sydney to my cousin’s home on the shore. And she drove me in a wheelchair all through the museum in Victoria – what education! The breakfasts were magnificent and thank you for the jar of maple syrup to take back to my senior citizen residence in Ontario, a Chartwell residence but I have been there two years and this is the first maple syrup I have had since I left England! What a welcome from Mac before we had even left the car and an escort to the door where we were greeted by Alice and expressions of joy from Taco. Fascinated by Alice permitting herself to be used as a sofa for Taco as I doubt that Taco can return the favour! We have had hospitality and education from you both! "

" We spent a week in "heaven" after 37 years of a beautiful marriage. It was better than our 1st honeymoon in 1973! This book is not big enough to list all the wonderful things we experienced during our week long stay. Dieter and Ashley were wonderful and the breakfasts were outstanding each morning. A bit of advice... listen to Dieter as your tour guide. He knows what he's talking about. The Best Part of the trip was befriending Ian & Karen from Perth Australia. We hit it off from the start with wine and beer in the evening on our deck. We went to Butchart Gardens together (oh my such beauty) and afternoon tea at the White Heather (Outstanding and only 22 bucks per person) We ended our day by kayaking to the bridge and back. Dieter was kind enough to have a search and rescue helicopter in the air for us. Luckily not needed however. We obviously had a wonderful time and we definitely will return someday. It won't take another 37 years. "

" Absolutely wonderful place to spend our honeymoon! Great location, great view, great hosts. The day-long wine tour was a fabulous adventure and we have the photos and bottles of wine to prove it. Definitely the best way to see the island. We can't wait to come back for anniversaries in the future.
