This has been our fourth visit
"This has been our fourth visit and sadly it will be our last because we are moving here! It's the first time we've seen a seal in the lagoon when we were boating! We'll have you over for a BBQ soon :-) "

Very beautiful surroundings
"Great place to stay in very beautiful surroundings. The girls had great fun on the paddleboat but I definitely struggled in the canoe (but good fun anyway!) Found a great place to eat - "Royal Roads Cafe" - which had a good selection on the menu and very reasonable prices - and we didn't have to go into the main town to get it! All in all a very enjoyable stay. (Emily and Montgomery are great!) "

Like a dream
"Everything was perfect for us. We were here for our honeymoon and I really feel like we were dreaming! The telescope, binoculars, the chairs on the deck, the swing on the grass, the balcony, and the bathroom was beautiful and the bed so comfortable! Thank you very much. You have a really nice house and the lady so gentle and sweet. For sure we will come back here for our next trip to Victoria. That's an awesome place you've got here! Thank you so much for a great time and good breakfasts. "

Even the dogs were welcoming
"A beautiful home, lovely surroundings and perfect hosts! Even the dogs were welcoming! Thank you for a lovely stay. The only bad thing was that we were not here long enough. The boys enjoyed the canoes on the lagoon - and even enjoyed falling in to it!1 (still trying to dry out their shoes!) Thanks so much. "

The suite was very spacious
"A very lovely B&B! Difficult to find at first but it was well worth it. The suite was very spacious and my twin sons loved it. The location is well situated and you don't have to go far for sight-seeing. We will certainly have to come back and mention this to friends too. Thanks a lot! "

We love this little Garden of Eden
"Lucy, Barbara and I, Eleanor Marshall-White, (mother) arrived here to celebrate my 80th Birthday. Surprisingly Butchart Gardens said anyone born in 1927 could get in for free -plus one guest. Our high tea had the same policy. So we really lucked out! We love this little Garden of Eden tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria. We had hoped to find Victoria a "quaint" town and so were slightly disappointed to find such a metropolis. But we found Eleanor's china shop, Lucy's beach, Barbara's gorgeous country-side. Lovely people, delicious food, excellent directions from our host. Thank you, Hopefully we will come back! We loved our stay. "

Family fun at B&B
"I am having so much fun! Thank you so much for letting us use the life jackets and the kayaks. The beds are great. Victoria is beginning to get very fun! We cam in on a ferry. The ferry was huge. Breakfast was a big delight. "

Enjoyed the canoe and paddle boat on the Lagoon
"Rather than say how nice it is here (as if you have not already noticed) we felt this ideal forum to help others with their travels and share our experiences. Day 1 - hoped a ride to down town victoria with guests from room one. The Titanic exhibit at the museum was excellent. Took water taxi near museum to Barb's fish and chips(****, $$$). Water taxi was $16.00 for two people- a little spendy. Hopped Casino shuttle at Museum (free) to Casino and played Texas Holdum table bonus game won $500.00. Walked from Casino to B&B (long walk, about an hour but free) Dinner at Casino(***, $$$). Day 2- Hatley Castle tour and Gardens. Well worth it and a must see. Lunch at the Whitespot Restaurant(**, $$$$). Dinner at Jasmines (**, $$$$). Day 3- Fort Rodd Hill and Lighthouse was great, and only $4.00 per person. Enjoyed the canoe and paddle boat on the Lagoon. As you can see we loved it and plan on returning soon. PS. Eat at the Crossroads (****, $$$). The stuffed mushrooms are great ! "

Fantastic peaceful fun and carefree
"Truly this was an unforgettable stay. I was here in 2004 before the renovations. What a fantastic job! As before, the hospitality was tremendous, and the breakfasts superb. We really enjoyed your company and thank your for inviting us into your home. There is so much more we could say, but perhaps is it is enough to say that absolutely everything about our stay was fantastic, peaceful, fun, and carefree. Our thanks again to Dieter, Annette, Emily, and Montgomery! See you again soon. "

Loved the comfy chairs and fireplace
"WOW! Our first ever child free weekend away and what a great place to be. The room is gorgeous and we loved the comfy chairs and fireplace. They made a rainy day so relaxing. The sun on the water this morning is making it hard to leave, I guess we will just have to come back. Thanks for the experience. "

Loved the view and the birds
"Thank you for such a beautiful space, we loved the view, the birds, and the "idea" of Kayaking. (Rain and coolness kept us sitting inside playing board games and cosily snuggled up to the fireplace). The energy and quietness were so renewing. Dieter's stories are inspiring and Annette's warmth and graciousness made our short stay too short! "
