Esquimalt Lagoon as seen from a rock island formation at the far end of the lagoon. It will also give you a perspective of just how big the lagoon is. Pan about 45° to the right and zoom in on the bridge. This is where the tide flows in and out under the bridge. This is also where you can exit / enter the lagoon with a boat.
A few degrees to the left and you'll see two boat houses, home to the Royal Roads University rowing club.
Unfortunately the snow-capped Olympic Mountain range is only barely visible in this panorama out across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. They are stunning as you walk along the beach and they are fully visible.
