"What a relaxing place - a perfect place to celebrate our third anniversary. We made good use of the place - kayaking, paddle boating, and biking. We love this room - especially the private deck, big bed, bath tub and fireplace. We are now dreading re-entering the real world! PS. - Could we take Emily and Montgomery with us? :-) "

"Dear Dieter and Annette: Thank you so much for your hospitality. The place is beautiful, breakfasts were excellent. We are so happy for the days we spent here. We celebrated 15 years of marriage on the 6th of June and we think this was the perfect place to be. We enjoyed the hiking trails, the rides in the canoes in the evening, wine and cookies on the balcony. Just a perfect get away. We definately will recommend this place to other couples and families. The swans, geese and other birds were fabulous. We also saw bears, deer and fawns and blue herons. We enjoyed beautiful weather and good food. Montgomery and Emily are so sweet. We take great memories with us and we want to come back.   "

"Although it was a short stay and close to home, it was a beautiful retreat away near the lagoon. The room was comfortable, the view was relaxing and the breakfast was delicious! "

"What a relaxing, peaceful setting to spend our honeymoon! We have spent two nights in the honeymoon suite and are so thankful to have found such beautiful place to stay! On Monday evening we ordered pizza from MyChosen (recommended by Dieter) and it was delicious. Yesterday we enjoyed very much whale watching with Orca Spirit Adventures, also recommended by Dieter. What a breath taking experience! We saw many Orca whales and four Minke whales which we were told was a rare occurance. We also saw Seals and a Bald Eagle on the trip. This morning we enjoyed watching a Sea Otter out on the dock, playing and sunning it'self. We are moving to room #2 this morning and will spend the rest of our week there. Our stay and Dieter's hospitality have been fabulous thus far and we are excited for what our next few days will bring. "

"We spent just one night here while passing through Victoria on our honeymoon. What a wonderful place. We took advantage of the paddleboat and had a nice evening float. The bed is very comfortable and loved the private balcony. "

"Our stay here was wonderful! It was a lovely surprise and break from our busy Miami lives. The view was terrific; unfortunately (or the weather didn't let us) to go on the canoe or peddle boat. We did see all the adorable geese, ducks and swans though! While we were exploring Victoria and the area around us we saw deer, bunnies, an otter, beautiful birds and much more. Everything was perfect in our room. We loved the TV, fireplace and FABULOUS showerhead. Henny and Keir's bed was really comfy, even though one likes softer mattresses and the other hard! Thank you for all the tips and suggestions for our "excursions." Maya never got to go zip-lining or bungee-jumping though -:( Also, all of the breakfasts were delicious! Emily and Montgomery are the cutest things but they're a bit too sweet to be guard dogs! Thank you so so so so so much for everything you've done for us and for an amazing stay! "

"You took "our invasion" in stride and you made the best experience we ever had in a B&B. Althought only five of us speak german it was nice to converse in our mother tongue with a fellow Rhinelander. Thanks for a great time in Victoria and assembling all the Blue Herons in the Lagoon. "

"the Crowther Family Boating Journal: Our Alaska cruise pulled in to Vancouver just after 7:30 am and by 11:30 we met up with Dieter. Our flight back home to Australia left the next day. With Dieter's planning advice it all went like clockwork. We flew in to Ganges from the Vancouver harbour on a float plane with Salt Spring Island Air where Dieter met us. After enjoying an excellent lunch on Salt Spring we headed south through the Gulf Islands and stopped at the Saturna Island Vineyards to sample their wines and bought a few bottles. This oceanside vineyard reminded us of those back home in southern Australia near Melbourne. We also saw a tall ship wrecked on a reef near there. We passed through the San Juans where we spent an hour or so watching a super pod of Orcas. A large male breached completely out of the water just a few hundred yards from the boat. This is an experience we will never forget and recommend to anyone who loves the ocean and wildlife. Dieter dropped us off in Victoria right next to the West Coast Air float plane docks at 5:30 pm. By 7:00 pm we were back in our hotel in Vancouver! What a perfect day. This was the icing on our perfect week to the west coast. Thank you "Birds of a Feather". Next time we'll be back to stay at your B&B in Victoria. "

Special thanks to Dieter for his advice regarding whale watching- we saw " super pod", where to visit and the booking at Marcus restaurant- the food and setting were lovely.
